OUTRAGEOUS

The messiah's Justice Department, headed by AG Holder, has begun to place its imprimatur on America. Last election day in Philadelphia, two thug Black Panthers stood outside a polling place in their uniforms brandishing clubs. The Department rightly sued in violation of the Voting Rights Act. The display of clubs and military style uniforms was clearly meant to intimidate voters, and I'm sure that it was successful in some cases. Despite being advised by career lawyers not to dismiss the case, a Justice Department spokesman on Thursday confirmed that the agency had done just that. And two of the men in the lawsuit were left with no penalty, while an order was issued against the third man that simply prohibits him from bringing a weapon to a polling place in future elections.

Surprising...? No. Not when you consider that Holder is the same guy who pardoned the Puerto Rican FALN terrorists. Change... Hope... The destruction of America continues.

IS SHE OR ISN''T SHE?

Supreme Court nominee Sotomayor has made what seems to be a racist statement: "I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experience would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn't lived that life." There's no denying that she holds a bias based on that remark. Now we also learn that she is a member of La Raza (The Race), a renegade outfit that touts amnesty for illegals, drivers licenses, and lax or no immigration enforcement. It's fine to belong to a social group that honors one's heritage, but one that advocates breaking or not enforcing the law? I thought this woman was a judge? What else don't we know about her?

THIS IS RICH

The messiah was in Los Angeles last night on a fund raiser. He used our money to get there and back (keep raising those taxes). What's rich, though, is that he targeted the very people that he intends to tax the heaviest in his new stimulus program. The kool aid drinkers just don't seem to get it...they are taxed at an onerous rate, yet they still donate to the libs.

Incidentally, the reason for the fund raiser was simply to increase the Democrats' bank. The donations last night raised the DNC's payola to around 9 million; the RNC has 24 mil in the bank. That begs the question... If we're in a recession/depression, if we're all hurting financially, how can the anointed one go to the Beverly Hilton with the Hollywood elite and put on such an extravagant event?

Remember when he told us that we'd all have to sacrifice? I guess that he didn't really mean all of us....

TRY AGAIN GENERAL

Colin Powell was on TV yesterday telling us that he's still a Republican. That's a tough sell--you backed and voted for Obama and three other Democratic Presidents, and you continue to tell us that we have to be more inclusive. General, we're ready to bring anyone on board who agrees with our conservative principles, not those who want to walk down the middle of the road. Why should we abandon our beliefs to be more like Democrats? If we didn't intend to stand for what we believe in we may as well be like you: a Republican in name only. You're either with us or not. But by your recent behavior it seems that you're not. You are simply another talking head flapping your gums and trying make yourself relevant. It's not working...

Mary

My 82 year old mother had successful surgery two days ago--an appendectomy. Nothing serious for most of us, but when someone that old undergoes any procedure it can be life-threatening. We prayed for her to come through it well, and for the Lord to guide the surgeon's hand. Our prayers were answered; He is a compassionate God.

Tonight, my wife and I went to 7 pm Mass and I was drawn to the statue of Our Blessed Mother, Mary. I began to think about her life with Jesus...the wonder of Him, but also the pain that she endured during his Passion and death.
What traumas we put our Mothers through.... How do they endure? What a blessing they are to us all, even with all of their shortcomings, foibles, mistakes, and sometimes over bearing discipline. But think about this for a moment if you will...what if there were no such thing as a Mother? What if we all were just put on this earth--just somehow placed here? What would it be like?

And what if Christ had chosen to do the same...if He simply showed up on earth? How much of a void would there be in all of our lives? But we know that our Lord didn't just show up; Christ was conceived (pro-choice advocates think about it) and was born of the flesh. He honored his mother and was obedient to her. He was rewarded with everlasting love and devotion from his mother--our mother--and He in turn gave her, and us, the gift of eternal life while sacrificing His own.

What would it be like without our mothers? It would be sad, my friends; it would be living half a life, like listening to a song without any music. Mothers are the life blood of all that is good, they toil on our behalf with nary a thank you. So I would just like to say, "Thank you, Mom. You have enriched my life and the lives of those in our family. I love you, Mother."

A Home Run

Yesterday former VP Cheney squared off with the messiah, who still can't get it through his head that the campaign is over, and absolutely knocked the ball out of the park. The anointed one kept blaming the Bush administration for everything and anything, he talked about his problems and continued to fail to give us any plans or solutions. Meanwhile, Cheney gave a cogent, comprehensive look at what the Bush administration did and why, he articulated the reasons in plain English, and he snapped us back in as to the realities of the war (yes, it is a war) on terror. He reiterated that terrorists deserve nothing more than death, or at the very least, harsh interrogations (incidentally approved by Congress) and he praised America rather than blamed it. Obama is disingenuous at best; a man of no substance or accomplishment who has led a life of privilege. He continues to denigrate our country to the rest of the world. By the way, no mention by BO of the foiled plot to bomb Synagogues by home grown terrorists just a day prior.

Thank you Mr. Vice-President for your refreshing, inspiring remarks.

Government Motors

This takeover by the government of the auto industry is disturbing, and combined with the new auto emission standards the future of transportation in America is dismal at best. The specious argument that cars that pollute less will make our nation greener and retard global warming is totally disingenuous. (When will this "green" thing go away?)

In order for the manufacturers to meet the new standards, cars will become smaller and lighter, that means less safe as well. Auto related deaths will increase (imagine an 18 wheeler running over your government built two seater), and this notion that we'll have cheaper gas is totally erroneous. Do you think that the oil companies will rationalize that...the public is buying less gas from us because of the extraordinary gas mileage, so let's lower our prices? Of course not, less gas purchased means higher prices. The future looks bleak.

Obama At Notre Dame

He was treated with the respect that the office of President rightly deserves, thank you, Notre Dame. But his words were what we expected. He spoke of reaching common ground on the issue of abortion...never, unless we all agree that it is legalized murder. He also said: "Each side will continue to makes its case to the public with passion and conviction. But surely we can do so without reducing those with differing views to caricature."

Right...just like you didn't reduce those of us who are Christians and also believe in the Second Amendment guaranteeing us the right to bear arms, to caricatures. You hold the power, so now you promote civil discourse? Try again, messiah, you didn't sway me with that argument.

You Won't Believe This

Whenever an administration wants to hide something they announce it over the weekend. The messiah did just that...and it worked. Little if anything at all is being said about this unprecedented action taken by the anointed one. An expert on everything, including autos, Obama slashed Chrysler's advertising budget by half. Are you paying attention? Obama. President of the USA, slashed a private corporation's advertising budget...are you listening?

Do you still think that socialism isn't at hand, that we no longer have a representative government...that we're ruled by a tyrant? Pay attention--your health care is next, then social security, then....

Police Week

This week is Police Week. We honor those that have made the ultimate sacrifice...those who've given their life so that others may live. Their names are inscribed on the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, D.C., but their memory remains indelibly etched in our minds and hearts.

I'll be joining thousands of my colleagues Wednesday night at the vigil, honoring these fallen warriors. Pray for them; pray for those who mourn their loss. Our cops remain all that stands between us and those who would steal, maim, and murder us. May God bless the police and may St. Michael be their shield.

Happy Mothers Day

To all of you who are Mothers, we honor you today. To my own Mother--thank you for so many years of sacrifice. To my wife, mother of our three children and grandmother to our four grandchildren, you're the best! Thank you, Father, for the blessing of women who dedicate their lives to their children. Have a great day, ladies!

Mean What You Say

Europeans...what a bunch of liberal hypocrites. They recently banned talk show host Michale Savage from entering the U.K. based upon his alleged hate speech. Yet, both France and the Britain have accepted released prisoners from Gitmo. Terrorists bent on killing all things not Muslim are welcome, yet free speech practitioners are banned?

Sounds crazy doesn't it? Look for more of this behavior to multiply, not only across the pond but right here in "obamaland."

Reinventing the GOP

Jeb Bush, Mitt Romney, John McCain, and several others are doing their best imitation of the Dems...they're going on a listening tour. They tell us that it's important to leave Reagan behind, that it's time to re-brand the party. Hogwash!

Reagan was one of our finest presidents, a man who brought all people together and whose ideas and principles worked then, and can work now. Why is it necessary to reinvent the wheel? What needs to occur is to find new candidates with a backbone. People who will stand on principle and tell the libs they're wrong, rather than cross the aisle and capitulate.

To have someone like McCain orchestrating this effort to remake the GOP into a pseudo-democratic party by copying their last campaign (fraught with lies and deception) is exactly the reason why the party needs fresh blood--not new principles.

Profiling

We've been told for years how absolutely wrong it is to profile. Especially in law enforcement, even though profiling has been used successfully for years, we're told not to use this technique. So we're not justified in stopping all white males, 30-35, with blond hair, who are driving in a black neighborhood--even though that description was just given over the air about a suspect wanted in a shooting.

At our airports...we're told how wrong it is to detain Middle Eastern males, even though they have been the ones in the past who have hijacked planes.

Now with the messiah and his boot lickers running the country, apparently profiling is a useful tool. Just look at what is being done in anticipation of Supreme Court Judge Souter's expected retirement. The profiling has begun: women, Blacks, Hispanics...that's the template. Qualifications...? Not a factor; not important. What matters is how a person looks and feels--rule of law be damned. Knowledge and understanding of our Constitution takes a back seat to finding the right person who will satisfy the paradigm of the liberal media. Hello socialism, good bye capitalism and democracy. Finally, Someone With Character

The former US Amabassador to the Holy See, Mary Ann Glendon, was to receive the Laetare Medal (conferred by Notre Dame), but she announced that she will decline accepting the medal due to her concerns about Obama delivering the commencement address at the university. In a letter to the school president, she expressed her dismay at the school's compromising of its principles and its rejection of criticism by the nation's Bishops. The former Harvard Law professor said that it was disturbing that the university would invite Obama to speak in view of his clear public stand against Catholic principles on key moral issues.

Would that our nation might have more people like Glendon who stand on principle rather than political correctness. Kudos to you, Miss Glendon. God bless you.
