Useless Piece Of Paper

For those of us who have cherished and followed the Constitution all of our lives, you can file it away now--its meaningless. The messiah and his band of kool aid drinkers have trampled, bended, folded, stapled, and otherwise mutilated it until it no longer resembles anything close to what the Founding Fathers intended for it to mean. With scores of czars answerable to only the dictator himself, and the government taking over private industry left and right, democracy and free enterprise no longer exists.

The dictator is telling us what cars we can buy, which light bulbs, toilets, appliances...we're toast. And sadly, we're the laughing stock of the planet. I never dreamed that it could get this bad in such a short period of time. But I've got to hand it to the anointed one--he kept his campaign promise. He did bring about "change."

The White House announced to the state run media that the messiah has sent a personal letter to the family of Michael Jackson. My question is this: How many letters has he sent to the families of the heroic men and women who have died while serving our country? Pretty sad when a country goes ga-ga over a drug using, child molesting screwball, but ignores the very people that allow them to make poor choices and gives them the freedom to be the idiots they are.

Open Wide...Here It Comes

It's 1,200 pages--no Congressman could possibly have read it all, much less absorb the implications that it holds for our citizens. Yet they are poised to pass it without having read it, just like the Stimulus Bills. How can we let this happen? Why won't anyone listen?

Members of Congress will be exempt from many of its provisions. That's right--the bill takes away our choices but not theirs. They will still have widest selection of health plans in the country. It's all spelled out on page 114 of the Kennedy Bill. So our mission is clear: contact your elected officials and put it to them. Ask them directly, "Will you be utilizing the national health coverage, or continuing to use the private sector? I will be surprised if anyone answers yes to the national plan.

So here's the link: Contact elected officials. Get in their face, folks. Put them on the spot. After you contact them, pass the link on to your family and friends. If you don't already know what hypocrites our elected representatives are, you will soon find out. They're poised to ram this thing down our throats--don't let it happen. Two words: term limits.

Going Strong

The messiah's reign has been good for some sectors of our economy. Case in point: U.S. gun maker, Smith & Wesson, has seen profits increase to more than double, as demand for its handguns and tactical rifles remain strong. The company posted a net profit of $7.4 million, or 14 cents a share, compared with $3.3 million, or 8 cents a share, last year. Seems like some folks are gearing up for a battle?

War Strategy

U.S. troops are no longer allowed to fight the Taliban in any villages--too much danger to civilians. That's right. All the Taliban need do is run inside any home and our troops are to disengage. Gen. Stanley McChrystal said his measure of effectiveness will be the "number of Afghans shielded from violence" — not the number of militants killed.

Sarah Holewinski, the executive director of the Washington-based Campaign for Innocent Victims in Conflict, commented. "I was heartened by McChrystal's remarks last week stating that, and am now further heartened to see that he's backing those statements up with policies to protect civilians. This is what we've wanted all along." Still, she said the policy has potential drawbacks, specifically that once Taliban fighters learn of the directive, civilian homes will be the perfect place to seek cover.

No...you think? They might take advantage of civilians? It's a no-brainer. We may as well pull out now, for every firefight our troops engage in there will be phony claims of innocents killed. Is this war, or a reasonable facsimile thereof? We're either in it 100 per cent or not. (Photo: Newsweek)

The Bold Evidence

California Senator Barbara Boxer wants everyone to know that she is a senator. During another useless hearing in which Brigadier General Walsh, Army Corps of Engineers, was testifying about Hurricane Katrina damage, the General had the temerity to answer one of the senator's questions using the word, ma'am. Boxer quickly interrupted him to remind him of her lofty position in this world.

"You know, do me a favor," an irritated Boxer said. "Could say 'senator' instead of 'ma'am?'"
"Yes, ma'am," Walsh interjected.

This only serves as another illustration of how our political system has spun out of control. Our elected officials, the ones whom we've chosen to represent us, consider themselves royalty and look upon us with disdain--even when we are being respectful. In the case of Gen. Walsh, he was answering using the word, ma'am. Who could object to that? Only a person who is so narcissistic that she places herself above all others.

This system is broken; term limits are in order, as is a part-time legislature. Let's bring these airheads back down to earth. Call me senator? Call me fed up.

Election Fraud? Look In The Mirror

Iran is chaotic after the results of the recent election were announced. It seems that Ahmadinejad either stuffed the ballot box or his cronies simply fabricated the count. What's interesting, though, is Obama's response. He tells us that it's the will of the people that should be considered. But I notice that he won't get too involved in this matter since his own hands are dirty when it comes to elections. His ACORN buddies played a huge role in getting him into the cushy residence on Pennsylvania Avenue. Vote fraud? To the messiah it's all part of getting what you want.

Unrest in LA

So the Lakers won another basketball championship...yawn...so what's the proper response from grateful fans? Riot, of course. They broke windows, set cars on fire, and turned into an unruly mob. But this behavior is not unique to LA, it's becoming routine all over the country, from the college ranks to the pros in all sports.

The solution...? Swift, decisive action by the police. Arrest anyone who fails to disperse; strict jail sentences and fines to those who are caught assaulting anyone or damaging property. Let's end this anti-social behavior right now. (Photo: sportsillustrated.cnn)

Hey, Didn't Bush Do That?

Obama just fired the Inspector General who was investigating Americorps. The investigation involved a misuse of federal grants by a nonprofit education group led by Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson, who is an Obama supporter and former NBA basketball star. Obama said, "It is vital that I have the fullest confidence in the appointees serving as inspectors general, that is no longer the case with regard to this inspector general."

So when someone who is a messiah supporter is found to be dirty, we kill the messenger, rather than the guilty party. But this bears a striking similarity to what happened when Bush fired the U.S. Attorneys. Bush had no confidence in them...he got rid of them...and there was a huge controversy created by the libs. I'll be waiting for the same thing to happen with Obama, but I won't be holding my breath--I'd probably die before anyone decides to investigate this obvious political dismissal.

Musings

Last night Letterman ripped Palin, as usual, but stepped over the line when he made a commnet, saying "A-rod knocked up her daughter during the 7th inning stretch." He has also called Palin a slutty looking flight attendant. By the way, check out Michelle's outfit on Drudge. This is a supposed "fashion icon?"

And the new GM Chairman stated, "I don't know anything about cars..." It all makes sense now--a tax cheat heads the IRS and a guy who knows nothing about cars is in charge of making them.

Obama wants "pay as you go" legislation passed by Congress, but wants to borrow money health care even though we're in debt for trillions of dollars.

The Dems want to rush the confirmation process for Judge Sotomayor, beginning July 13th. The reason...? There is none. These same Dems wanted the confirmation process to proceed slowly and with due caution when Chief Justice Roberts was up for confirmation. What's different now? Simple--it's a Dem up for confirmation.

One last thing. Rush made a good point about the only similarity that Obama shares with God: neither has a birth certificate.

I'm Not A Gingrich Fan

Former House Speaker, Newt Gingrich, was the keynote speaker at a fundraising dinner for the Republican House and Senate campaign committees. Some Republican leaders referred to Newt as "a de facto head" of the party at a time when Republicans are looking for ideas to lead them back to the majority. When Paul Ryan (WI) introduced Gingrich, he called him the “architect of the last reform movement” and “the man of ideas.”

He's got ideas alright...ideas to move us further to the left. Gingrich continues to heap praise upon Colin Powell, even though Powell has twice voted for Democrats. This past election he did all that he could to sabotage McCain's chances by strategically announcing his support of Obama at a juncture when it would cause the most damage. He denigrates Rush Limbaugh, even though at this point in the Republican party, Limbaugh epitomizes the core principles of conservatism. And the left forced Gingrich to retract his racist statement about the Supreme Court nominee.

Gingrich is in bed with moderates, the same people that tell us that we need "a big tent." We've got a big tent--it's large enough to cover everyone who wants to join us in sticking with the things that brought us success in the past--honesty, character, and love of country. If we wanted to please Democrats, we'd become Democrats. Wise up!

I'm Not Like You

Obama continues to admonish CEOs about excessive pay, trips to Vegas, etc. In his teleprompter generated speeches, he tells common folks that we must change and be willing to sacrifice.

So I'm a little perplexed when I read about another night on the town with Michelle. And I'm somewhat disturbed that he left behind his wife and kids to go on a shopping spree (more $500 gym shoes perhaps?). I'm also miffed that when he returned to a country in trouble, ours, the first thing that he did was to play golf.

I guess that he's not a man of the people after all. That's why Evan Thomas of Newsweek magazine calls him a god. Remember what the Bible teaches about honoring false gods....

A Ray Of Hope

The state run media hasn't picked up on this story (and they probably won't), but there's a whole lot of sunshine down in Florida and all of it's not coming from the sun--it's coming from the Son. The graduating class at Pace High School collectively thumbed their noses at the ACLU at their graduation ceremony. This courageous group of men and women stood up and together recited the Lord's Prayer.

Strange that simply saying the Lord's Prayer would be news in our society, but you know where I'm coming from. In this school district in Santa Rose County, the ACLU had sued the school six moths ago and had a decree in place that banned all prayer and religious activities. The students were so upset that they set a plan in motion. As the ceremony began, and everyone was told to take their seats, the graduating seniors remained standing and recited the Lord's Prayer. Friends and family prayed along with them and applauded the students afterward.

Kudos to Pace High School grads and their parents for not allowing the state sponsored ACLU to bulldoze their rights!

Amerabia

As the messiah embarks on his destroy America tour to the Middle East he was interviewed in Germany and made a remarkable statement. In an interview with Laura Haim on Canal Plus, a French television station, Obama noted that the United States also could be considered as “one of the largest Muslim countries in the world.”

What? America is a Muslim country? That's news to me and probably all of you as well. And why all of this focus on Islam and Muslims now? Were we not told during the campaign that Obama is not a Muslim, and in fact, to even mention his middle name, Hussein, was to be considered racist and inciting trouble? Now the state run media, directed by the WH press corps, celebrates the fact of Obama's lineage. His father, born in Kenya, and also a grandmother who was formerly described as a Christian, is now described as a Muslim. These are now his bona fides.

The Court Jester

The messiah said that Iran has the right to nuclear energy. He added the caveat: provided it takes steps to prove its aspirations are peaceful. Is this guy a clown or what? Iran has vowed to wipe Israel off the face of the earth. Allowing them to freely develop nuclear energy, which extrapolates into nuclear destruction down the road, is totally irresponsible. The intelligence community knows that Iran backs Hamas with training, weapons, and money to continue to attack Israel. Is Obama blind to the fact that Iran is a terrorist state?

Iran also sits atop huge stores of natural gas (so do we in the US but the green idiots won't allow us to tap into it) so the energy argument is specious. This man is dangerous, naive, and just plain out of touch. There are evil people in the world and they are playing him like a violin. Or maybe they just enjoy seeing this clown dance to their tune.
