It Becomes More Clear Each Day

Folks it's convoluted but here's the bottom line: this whole charade about "The Bailout" is just the final big piece to a puzzle with a thounsand pieces to ensure that Obama gets elected. It is an obvious conspiracy perpetrated in concert with the media, to heap every conceivable problem onto the Bush administration in particular, and the Republicans in general. Why else would the Dems, who have a majority in the House and could have easily passed the bill without a single Republican vote, cause this vote to fail?

It's now obvious that this whole Obama worship phenomenon has evolved into a cult. It's all driven by the misplaced notion that this nation needs to have a black president. I would welcome a black president...if he was qualified! Obama is not; no experience, no credibility, no track record, no voting record, no legislation passed that he's sponsored, not even one article written by him while he was President of the Harvard Law Review. This man can show us nothing that qualifies him to run the greatest nation on earth...except his ability to read a teleprompter. The kool-aid is working.

Fireproof--Movie Review

My wife and I saw this wonderful movie today, Fireproof, and for the first time in a very long while we left a movie theatre feeling good about something. The movie stars Kirk Cameron as Captain Caleb Holt, a firefighter who lives by the axiom, "Never leave your partner behind." It becomes a metaphor for his marriage as he finds his relationship with his wife catching fire and about to explode.

The movie is faith-based; it reinforces the importance of marital vows and the difficulty that we face in keeping them. The story is exciting, with lots of action and human drama, and it carries a spiritual message. No foul language, no explicit sex scenes, none of the usual Hollywood garbage that passes as normal can be found in this tear-jerking tale. We left the movie house hand in hand, grateful to Lord for the gift that he had given us.

I highly recommend this fine movie to both parents and their children. Tell your friends and your fellow church members as well. This one is a keeper! (Photo courtesy of: Carmel Entertainment Group)

Here We Go Again

Alcee Hastings (D) FL told a gathering of mostly Blacks and Jews that Republican Gov. Palin should be feared because "she has a gun and hunts." He went on to say "Anybody toting guns and stripping moose don't care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks." He then challenged the audience, "If Sarah Palin isn't enough of a reason for you to get over whatever your problem is with Barack Obama then you damn well had better pay attention."

This inflammatory racist rhetoric comes from someone who was impeached and removed from office for corruption and perjury. He is only the sixth federal judge to be impeached and removed from office in American history.

And so it continues...the only ones interjecting race into the Presidential contest are the Democrats themselves. If the Republicans had said anything like this they would be crucified by the media. What it shows me is that the Dems are very afraid of Palin. There has never been this much scrutiny and criticism about a VP pick before. They know that she is more than qualified for the job, and it's interesting that they seem to be running against Palin rather than McCain.

Keep it up libs, your inevitable implosion is imminent. (Photo: courtesy of MSNBC)

Grateful

The air was crisp and the leaves bore just a tinge of the changes to come. Autumn was now upon us, and as I ran along the beautiful banks of the Rappahannock River with it's rock outcroppings and rapids, I was struck by its beauty. Then as I am often wont to do, I stopped to offer up a prayer of thanks to the one who created it all. It's that moment in time when words simply aren't adequate to describe the sense of how special it is to be a child of God. To have the ability to exercise the body, mind, and spirit is truly a blessing. Witnessing the power and beauty of the river at high tide while running a path that has existed for generations, is a gift that can only be described as priceless. The birds, wildlife, insects, and flowers all give witness to His glory. It's a surreal moment--it is the Father at His best! Thank you Lord; thank you Jesus. Is He An Operative?

Go Joe Go! Biden's on a tear, he's made so many gaffes that it's difficult to keep track of them all. Is he secretly working for the GOP? From his comments on the anti-McCain ad referring to Mac's inability to email, to Biden saying Barack's not taking my guns, and now his total contradiction from what Obama said about coal. Obama and Biden couldn't be any more out of sync. It's pure entertainment, but more importantly Biden's the best tool the Repubs could have ever hoped for. Who would have thought that the VP picks would be so instrumental in this race? Simply amazing...

Jesus Was A Community Organizer?

Here’s the latest tag line the libs are using to discredit Sarah Palin’s background: “Jesus was a community organizer; Pontius Pilate was a governor.” What? Let’s take a look at this nonsense. Our Lord was no organizer of anything—He was and is a Savior. He could care less about the community, other than the individual souls living within it.

Who are the real community organizers? Folks like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton to name just two of the more infamous ones. Jackson is a well known extortionist. He threatens big corporations with boycotts unless they fork over huge contributions to his “Rainbow Coalition.” One case that comes to mind is the Quaker Oats company in Chicago. Jackson put the arm on them threatening to boycott the company over the Aunt Jemima product line. Jackson contended that the logo was a racial stereotype. Funny thing is that when Quaker Oats came up with the amount of cash that made Jesse smile, he held a press conference and decided that it wasn’t racial after all. More money for Jesse, which incidentally he used to help pay off the mother of his out of wedlock child.

As for community organizer Al Sharpton…two words: Tawana Brawley. Uncle Al helped promote the hoax and was later found guilty and ordered to pay $65,000 to the wrongly accused defendant. Remember his role in the deaths of seven people at Freddies Fashion Mart in NY? How about his famous “white interlopers term” that he loves to use to incite the people in NY? And one cannot forget his hatred of the Jews. He’s a gem alright…a real community organizer.

What about the community organization itself, the one that Obama was a part of? ACORN (the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) is supported by you—the taxpayer. It has been implicated in voter fraud around the country, as well as illegal immigration (it helps find mortgages for illegal immigrants with the help of Citibank). And just like the Rainbow Coalition it’s located in Chicago.

This was Obama’s “experience” with a community organization. Obama was a legal representative for ACORN, and he gave “leadership seminars” to its members who in turn worked on his campaign. Nice quid pro quo. He also served on the boards of the Joyce Foundation and the Woods Fund, both of which made huge contributions to ACORN. That’s some organizing isn’t it?

And finally…Pontius Pilate was a governor? Yes he was, and so was George Ryan the former governor of Obama’s own state of Illinois. What about Ryan you ask? Well, if you want to speak with him you’ll have to visit him at the federal prison in Terre Haute, IN where he is serving six years after having been found guilty of corruption. That’s some community organization they’ve got there in Illinois.

Time doesn’t permit discussing some of the other characters in Obama’s community—William Ayers, Bernadette Dohrn, Rev. Wright, and on and on. It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Suffice it to say, Sarah Palin does not have the experience that Obama has—thank God!

Tell Me Again How Much You Care

Here's the first point: we're in the midst of some Wall Street firms collapsing...it happens, businesses come and go. It's not up to the Feds to rescue them, it's the normal course of events. The U.S. economy is strong, yes fundamentally strong just as McCain said. And while the purveyors of doom and gloom on the left love to pontificate on how Bush has ruined the economy consider this: it grew by 3.3 per cent in the second quarter. That was up from the first quarter which was 1.9 per cent. For those of you that are bad at math here's what the numbers mean: the economy is still growing, albeit at a slower rate. At least one economist forecasts an increase in both the third and fourth quarters of 2 and 3 per cent respectively. So while it's not huge growth, it's growth nonetheless.

Now for my second point. Obama contends that he represents the little guy, the common man, the working Joes out there--the blue collar types. So how do you square that when your income last year was 4.2 million dollars, and you're about to have a fund-raiser featuring ultra-lib Streisand as the entertainment, with tickets to the event going for $28,500 each? I'm not saying that these events are unique to the libs, but when you take on the mantle of being "one of us," you're talking out of both sides of your mouth. How many working folks will be able to attend that event?

But Obama and his blue collar pal Joe Biden are for the little guys out there--right? Yet, if we look at their tax returns and review their compassion for us in the form of charitable contributions, we see two very different people. Obama in 2004 gave $2500 dollars, just 1% of his salary. That same year Biden contributed a pawltry $380 to charity. Bear in mind that these two never thought that at that point in time either would have to divulge their financial records. They assumed they would only have to "talk the talk."

Obama stirs up the crowds by promising them something for nothing, that the government will take care of them. Tax the wealthy--punish them--they're evil for making more money than you. The sad fact of the matter is that the top 1 percent of taxpayers are already paying 40% of federal income taxes. To tax them any further will have a negative effect on the economy by businesses passing on costs to the "little people," and by not creating any new jobs. (Photo: courtesy of sworrall.typepad.com)

Trouble In Eurabia

Eurabia? Yes, by bowing to Muslim pressure to operate Sharia Courts, countries in Europe are slowing becoming the caliphate that Muslims are hoping to see formed around the world. Over the past several years Muslims have emigrated in huge numbers to European nations. One nation that has seen a great influx is Great Britain. Rather than have the immigrants assimilate into the British culture, Muslims have fought hard to be separate from Britain's society in general, and in particular its laws.

Case in point...it has now been learned that Sharia Courts have been operating in England for over one year. Five different courts are in full operation in cities such as London, Birmingham, and Manchester, this despite warnings from lawyers about the grave consequences of a dual legal system.

Imagine if Catholics or Baptists demanded their own courts, the outrage would be deafening. But for some reason Western Civilization seems to fear saying no to Muslims. Our country has done its fair share of bowing to Muslim demands, i.e., foot washing stations in airports and other public buildings. separate facilities such as gymnasiums for women only, and even prayer time has been set aside. Try to ask for those accomodations as a Christian and see how far you get. We cannot even have the Ten Commandments posted on the walls at any of our schools.

Unless we as a nation stand up to these outsiders--and it's clear that they are indeed outsiders since they do not want to be a part of our country--then our society, our customs, our norms, and our entire way of life will exist only in history books. And then only in those history books that have yet to be re-written by the new residents of "Amerarabia."

ABC's Gibson Disrespects Palin

Anyone that knows anything about body language, tone, interview techniques, and demeanor plainly saw how Charlie Gibson held the Governor from Alaska in contempt and disdain last night. For one thing, the camera angle gave a view that had Gibson elevated above Palin--a position of authority and superiority--she had to look up to him. Also, Gibson never leaned forward but rather stayed upright or leaned backward during the interview. He had his Princeton bifocals on and looked down his nose at Palin as if he was merely tolerating her presence. The whole interview took on an air of an Ivy League elitist interviewing a potential student wanting to be admitted to his institution, but secretly knowing that nothing that she can say will change his already made up mind.

The questions were good--they were questions that needed to be asked--but why didn't Gibson ask the same questions when he interviewed Obama? If you go online and review that interview, you will see a completely different Gibson...one who is deferential, fawning, and full of praise.
The other fact that needs to be divulged is that the editing that was done, causes Palin to appear as if her answers were less than right and incomplete. If you read the entire transcript, you can see that Palin more than explained her answers and justified her positions.

So is any of this a surprise? No. The surprise is that our side would even give the Left a chance to take potshots at us. It took Obama 19 months to finally agree to an interview on Fox with Bill O'Reilly. Palin agreed after only 2 weeks to enter the lions' den. I say the heck with bowing to the Left and going on their ridiculous one-sided shows. Stop trying to reach people that are idiots--especially those that get their news and information from intellectually challenged people like Matt Damon, Madonna, Pamela Anderson, Eva Longoria, and the clueless cast of "The View." Get tough and quit trying to assuage goofballs that hate this country and everyone that helped make it great. (Photo courtesy of Pittsburgh Post Gazette)

Sarah Palin Is A Bad Mom

The battle wages on...the first attacks were about Gov. Palin's decision to give birth to a baby with a disability. She fought back, driving her attackers backward into retreat mode. Weighing a decision to give life, versus one that would murder an innocent, defenseless child...no contest--Sarah's the easy victor in this one.

Now the next battle in this cultural war, one that versus a declining morally challenged group of ideologues on the left, is a skirmish involving a pregnant teenager. The left, and more strikingly the folks that espouse the idea of teens having sex, college students using sex for recreation and entertainment, and working women utilizing multiple partners to amass power (can you say Sex and the City), these same folks now want to brand Gov. Palin as an unfit mother. Why? Her daughter is pregnant.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but do we not see in our media each day that celebs in particular are honored and celebrated for having children out of wedlock. And don't these same Hollywood types more often than not live unsavory lives? Unsavory you say? Yes, drinking, drugging, multiple sexual partners of both sexes...yes unsavory. Yet we post them on the front pages of trash magazines such as Us, People, and The Enquirer."

This present battle will not take long to win, but be prepared for others. When your opponent has nothing of substance to attack you with, he will grasp at the most salacious one that he can fabricate. The topic de jour is Sarah is a bad mom; try again libs--this one is another loss for you. (Photo: courtesy of Hollywood Rag)

New Life

Sarah Palin brought new life to the campaign in more ways than one. Sure she breathed life into a flat-lining McCain persona, but more importantly she resuscitated the issue of abortion. By recognizing the blessing given to her with the birth of her son Trig, she put pro-choicers on notice. We will fight you for the right of every baby to live.

When the government financially supports an organization like Planned Parenthood, who fully supports abortion to the tune of millions of dollars each year, we need to stand up and be counted. Their clinics perform over 290,000 abortions each year--doesn't that number concern you? That number is the size of many small cities around our nation.

What's so interesting about those that support "choice," is that they themselves were given the gift of life. Their mothers chose for them to live--not to murder them. How then can they support murdering an innocent? The whole issue baffles me. If we are a moral society, one that for the most part opposes things like capital punishment, cruel and unusual punishment as it applies to criminal sentencing, how then do we justify murdering a baby? The bottom line...there is never any justification to kill a baby. It always has been and will continue to be murder.

Why We Need Palin

If you saw McCain's speech at the Convention last night, it should be evident why we need Gov. Sarah Palin on the ticket. McCain was his usual self--middle of the road--wanting to reach over across the aisle. John...listen...we don't want to compromise, we don't want to acquiesce--we want to win! We don't want to meet the libs half way; we want to win them over.

Palin's speech trumped McCain's by far. It was the shot in the arm, the return to true Conservatism that's been needed for eight years. Bush has kept us safe to be sure, but with every year that passed, he adopted more of a socialist approach to governing. Palin, hockey mom that she is, checked Obama and his ilk into the boards time after time. She will continue to do that, to expose them for what they are--phony, empty suits, masquerading as folks that care about you and me. In reality they care about only themselves and the power that they can amass.

So while I no longer have to hold my nose when I vote this November, my thoughts are not that I'm voting for McCain, but rather that I'm voting for Sarah Palin and against Obama. We've got a real scrapper in our midst; look out Hillary, in eight years she's coming to get you! (Photo: courtesy Chicago Tribune)

Downright Despicable Dirty Dems

It's only just begun but it's as mean-spirited and pejorative as I've ever seen it. Gov. Palin is being attacked for being a working mother...the very platform that Hillary ran on and that the Dems have traditionally attacked the GOP about. When we saw Pelosi take the reigns as the Speaker, she was applauded as she stood at the podium with her children and grandchildren. Indeed, they fawned over her making the point that she can be a mother, grandmother, and still be a leader. Obama takes the stage with his wife and two children, and it's like the second coming! How can this man do both--lead a country and raise a family? What an icon for us all.

Now comes Gov. Palin who shattered all of the myths and stereotypes, the glass celing, the proven ability to lead and raise a family, and she is demonized as one who neglects her family. The left's new mantra: "She should be at home raising her children."

Further, what happened with the grandiose idea of helping disabled children? Didn't the Kennedy clan embrace and develop The Special Olympics? Don't they to this day continue to drive that issue? How can this be, if many of them are also in politics? How are they able to care for disabled children?

The whole Down syndrome issue, along with her teen daughter's pregnancy are non-sequiturs as they relate to Palin's leadership. The very fact that she has been a mayor and a governor is proof positive of her leadership and management abilities.

The bottom line is this: The red herring issue, Palin is a mother who should be at home, is exactly what will energize the Right as well as the disaffected female Dem voters. They won't sit still for the scurrilous attacks that the media are working on 24-7. Mark my words--Palin will become a heroine...and a Vice-President. (Photo: courtesy of BBC)

The Dems Find Palin "Un" Palatable

It's already started--the attacks on McCain's VP pick, Sarah Palin. You had to know that it was coming, but even I didn't think that they would be as vicious and filthy... Case in point: the left wing media making ridiculous claims that Palin's recent baby is actually her daughter's! How cruel... And more from the left leaning half of the Hannity and Colmes show, Alan denigrating Palin for eloping with her husband of 20 years and in the process also suggesting that baby Trig's Down syndrome was the result of poor pre-natal care. In London an alleged nude photo of Palin has surfaced, Photoshoppers are busily at work, Palin's camp was quick to deny. They are talking about her hair style, and the fact that she is a beauty queen, anything to deflect attention from the fact that her substance trumps anything that Obama and Biden have to offer. All this means to me is that the Dems are quaking and the Repubs are re-energized...I know I am. (Photo courtesty of: patriotroom.com)
